Who We Are
About Us
Project 4031 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that offers no-cost services to terminally ill children and adults to strengthen their end-of-life stories. We provide assistance by helping struggling families meet basic needs through financial support and fulfilling last dreams. Our goal is to provide a better quality of life and allow someone to end life well. Located in Fort Worth, Texas, Project 4031 only serves those living in North Texas.

Project 4031’s story began with a heart and vision to strengthen the end-of-life journey for terminally ill children and adults and their families. Across the United States and around the world, many people do not experience their end-of-life story to the fullest. It is our mission to make this journey gratifying and as comfortable as possible through our services areas: Funding for Families and Fulfilling Dreams and as a resource for end-of-life professionals through our Three Strands program. We believe this is not our work but the work of the One above. Project 4031 is committed to being a good steward of the resources given and fervently serving the needs of terminally ill children and adults.

Our History
Being a part of the greater plan.
Growing up in a home of healthcare providers, Josh Robertson was drawn to helping people. In High School he actually lived onsite of a small assisted living facility his parents operated. During that time, some of his fondest memories were spending time with the residents on the front porch, listening to their stories. These experiences lit a fire to start a hospice-focused medical equipment business shortly after college graduation. Focusing on an underserved market to ensure terminally ill children and adults received the quality equipment they deserved was amazing; however, it also sparked a lot of conversation with his wife, Kristina Robertson, who had experienced personal loss with close family members and could relate to the care that is so important at the end of life. During delivery, it was common to hear about final wishes or issues a family was experiencing. Kristina and Josh would share the stories they were hearing and the developing pattern. Over time, action took over ideas, and gentle nudges turned into outcomes. Project 4031 was officially launched in 2011 to provide terminally ill children, adults, and their families facing end-of-life challenges with peace and comfort by easing financial burdens and fulfilling their last dreams. Since its inception, Project 4031 has directly served over 1300 patients within the states and countless others overseas. It has been such an incredible experience to see conversations morph into a dream that has now been a reality over the last 14 years of serving this beautiful and vulnerable population throughout the North Texas community. The Robertson family started Project 4031 to bring joy, strength, and stability to terminally ill patients and their families, and our core values still guide us. The journey is just beginning. Project 4031 continues to grow its reach with a committed and active board of directors, team members led by Kristina, countless volunteers, and community supporters who are inspiring new ways to serve. New ideas are taking shape to expand our reach so that together, we can bring love, joy, and stability to these incredible families.
