Volunteer
Project 4031 relies heavily on the support of volunteers in our community. Our volunteer opportunities vary throughout the year. Whether you want to volunteer on an individual basis or with a group of friends, family, or co-workers there are several ways you can help. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please contact Lora Snyder, Volunteer Coordinator, at (817) 653-8976 or email lora@project4031.org to acquire a Volunteer Application. All volunteers must complete a volunteer application and undergo a background check. Thank you in advance for helping us serve terminally ill children and adults. Please read below for various opportunities and ways to get involved with Project 4031.

The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention.
Special Events
Throughout the year, Project 4031 hosts fundraising events. Many hands make light work, and we always need volunteers who can help prepare for and execute the events. Examples of fundraising events include the breakfast in May , North Texas Giving Day in September, and the Impact dinner in November. There are opportunities for volunteers both during the workday and outside of normal workday hours.

Wings Volunteer
Wings volunteers continue the work begun through Funding for Families and Fulfilling Dreams. Every Thursday at noon, volunteers gather at the Project 4031 house to prepare little love offerings (usually, cookies, floral arrangements, or lap blankets) and deliver them to local patients and their families. After a preliminary training period, Wings volunteers have the opportunity to sign on to Share the Care. Share the Care volunteers commit to face-to-face companion care for hospice patients. These volunteers are vital to living our mission to improve end-of-life stories.

Prayer Partner
On every application for assistance, patients have the opportunity to check a box to be added to our prayer list. Project 4031 Prayer Partners commit to pray for these patients and their families. Every Monday morning, the prayer list (with first names only) is emailed out to the Prayer Partners who will lift the patients and their families in prayer during the week. This volunteer opportunity is done on the volunteers’ own time and is an excellent service opportunity for individuals, families, or church groups.
