So many in our community came together to make dreams come true for this special young woman named Patty. Her 25th birthday was approaching, and knowing she only had a few months left to live, Patty created an ultimate bucket list. Knowing she would never get married, one of her last wishes was to “put her mom through wedding dress shopping.” Patty’s dream was to have a professional bridal photoshoot with her family. She wanted the photos and the experience to be a memory she could leave behind for her family.
Bass Performance Hall of Fort Worth provided the venue space and a wonderful photographer, Makayla at Merv Images, collaborated with a bridal shop, makeup artist, florist, and baking company to help make the day extra special. Patty looked stunning and let her personality shine through with the perfect accessory, a striped Slytherin-green sash to pay homage to her favorite series, Harry Potter.
When Patty passed away only a few short weeks after her dream came true, she was buried in the wedding gown she had chosen. Patty’s photos now serve as treasured mementos for her family.
