A Letter from
Our Executive Director
A summer letter about the state of non-profits and our gratitude for your endless support. Thank you for being with us and choosing to help people end life well.

Supporters of Project 4031,
We hope this note reaches you with a sense of care and warmth as summer begins to wind down. As we have reached as little over the halfway mark of 2025, we wanted to reach out with a desire to stay or be re-connected. Your past support means more than you know, and we want you to be part of the journey every step of the way.

So far this year, Project 4031 has continued to walk alongside families facing some of life’s most tender and trying moments. Together, we’ve helped meet basic financial needs—rent, utilities, groceries—offering peace of mind where there was once only stress. We’ve granted final dreams and stood in the gap when resources ran thin. These moments remind us daily why this work matters.

Still, we must acknowledge the daily challenges. Like many nonprofits, we’re feeling the strain of rising costs and growing needs. The calls come more often, the stories more urgent. It’s heavy—but not hopeless.
By the end of 2025, we are now projected to serve 20% more patients than we originally budgeted to serve. While we strive to never turn away a request, there are times when our funding only covers part of the need. So far in 2025, we have funded 70% of the amount requested by terminally ill children, adults, and their families.

We remain grounded in hope and faith because we see what happens when a community comes together. We’ve seen what your generosity can do, and we are committed to stewarding that well. As we look ahead to the remainder of the year, we are focused on strengthening our ability so we can continue to meet essential needs with dignity and compassion. This includes:

-
Continuing to provide direct emergency financial support for terminally ill children and adults and their families.
-
Offering meaningful final experiences through our Fulfilling Dreams program.
We know the road ahead requires endurance, faith, and a deep belief in the goodness of people. We will strive to meet every need that comes across our door. We’re not giving up—and we’re grateful you're with us.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Ashley Lacamp Moore | Project 4031 President
Jordan Rolfe Simpson | Board Vice-President
Kristina Robertson | Executive Director
