Russell’s sweet daughter reached out to Project 4031 on his behalf in hopes we could help get their family of four to the Green Day concert coming at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. This is an experience Russell was looking forward to for months, which encouraged him through some very tough days. Green Day is his favorite band, and his favorite song is “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).”
The amazing staff at AAC partnered with Project 4031 to make Russell’s dream a reality. The whole family received VIP treatment, starting with the red carpet rolled out for them and a limo ride to the concert. They were met curbside and escorted to their seats where they had a gift card to purchase food, drinks and souvenirs. The staff stayed with the family all night and accommodated any of their needs to ensure he was comfortable. Afterwards, the family expressed such gratitude for the special experience and unforgettable memories. When Russell died three weeks after his dream came true, his family played his favorite Green Day song at his funeral. We feel truly blessed to be a part of his story and to have brought much needed joy and happiness to the end of his life.
