Bobby

Due to his declining health after surviving multiple strokes, Bobby moved to the DFW area to be near family. Despite hardships, he and his wife, Stashia, worked hard to maintain a positive attitude as they tried to make the best of their situation. Stashia was now responsible for providing total care for Bobby and was unable to work. The family was living on a small, fixed income, and due to an error, some of their benefits were delayed and they didn’t receive them as planned. Bobby and Stashia did their best to prioritize and pay all their bills on time but found themselves struggling without enough money for food. The family was in desperate need of financial assistance for groceries and utility bills. Project 4031 met them in that gap while they waited for benefits to be restored. This much-needed support provided great relief to the family and allowed them to put food on the table and keep their utilities on just one week before Christmas. Bobby’s story is sadly familiar. We see so many families fall into financial crisis as they attempt to provide end-of-life care to their loved ones. A small helping hand can make all the difference and have a lasting impact.
