Micah was diagnosed with...
Micah was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma when he was just a year old and spent the next six years of his life battling cancer. Despite undergoing more than ten operations, Micah celebrated life every day with a smile on his face no matter his circumstances. Micah loved baseball, and he became an honorary Horned Frog when he was adopted by the TCU baseball team and came to be known as Superhero Micah. He even attended the College World Series to cheer on his beloved Horned Frogs. Micah’s family faced the rollercoaster childhood cancer brings: unexpected trips to the ER, admissions to hospitals, trips out of town for treatment.
Micah’s cancer progressed, and he was admitted to hospice service. In the last months and weeks leading up to his death, his family tried to make as many happy memories as possible. His mom’s focus was on living and cherishing the precious time they had left with Micah. Project 4031 assisted by covering the family’s mortgage in the last month of his life, providing the family some financial breathing room, allowing them to give their full attention to their precious superhero.
